This past summer, Kaydin Garza and Elijah Gonzales worked alongside University of Texas researchers during the GeoFORCE 12th Grade Research Academy, completing hands-on geoscience research as part of their capstone experience. Throughout the academy, they conducted field investigations, analyzed real-world data, and developed a professional research poster highlighting their findings.
Their outstanding work was selected for presentation at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Annual Conference, the largest geoscience conference in the world, with more than 25,000 attendees. Kaydin and Elijah earned the opportunity to present their research in New Orleans December 17 to December 19, 2025.
CHS is extremely proud of their commitment, perseverance, and academic excellence. Their achievement reflects the strength of our students and the opportunities available at Cotulla High School. Congratulations!

Orders and payment may be turned in to Coach Galindo, Coach Gonzalez, Coach Arce, or Coach Marroquin. Cash or check only! (please make checks out to Cotulla ISD).
