The fourth day of Week of the Young Child was celebrated with Artsy Thursday! This day was dedicated to measuring, mixing, and kneading.
Children participated in an activity where they mixed ingredients to create their very own playdough from scratch. Activities like these help develop creativity, social skills, and fine motor skills through open-ended art projects where they can make choices, use their imaginations, and create with their hands.

ECLC children put their hands together for Work Together Wednesday.
Each classroom worked together to create a pinata that will be used at Friday's Family event. Children explored different textures, practiced turn taking, and had fun getting messy with this team project!

Ms. Devyna Gonzalez was our Exemplary Teacher for the month of March! We applaud her for partnering with Southwest Texas College so that she could further her career and expertise in early childhood education and ultimately obtain a Child Development Associates Certificate. Ms. Devyna has dedicated well over 150 hours of professional development and teaches each of her students with the utmost care and respect. She is a treasure to have in the classroom and we are extremely grateful to have her as part of the ECLC team! Congratulations!
