Take Dual-Credit Courses with Southwest Texas Junior College!

Cotulla High School offers dual-credit courses for students grades 9-12.  CHS has 3 dual-credit programs.

Associate of Arts (AA) in General Studies Degree

The Class of 2024 will have an opportunity to graduate with an Associate of Arts (AA) in General Studies Degree from SWTJC upon completion of 60 college semester hours.  The program begins in the Fall 2020.  Rising 9th graders need to take the TSIA Reading (351) in order to take college courses in the Fall 2020. 

Patient Care Technician Certification Program

The Patient Care Technician program is available for rising 11th graders.  It is a two-year program.  The students take the PCT courses at the Learning Center.  Seniors who pass the certification program will graduate from SWTJC in May 2021. No TSIA tests are required for the PCT program.

Welding Certification Program

The Welding program is available for rising 10th graders.  It is a three-year program.  The students take the Welding courses at the Welding Shop with CHS/SWJTC Instructor Sammy Yanez.  Seniors who pass the certification program will graduate from SWTJC in May 2021. No TSIA tests are required for the Welding program.
