Estevan Moreno Selected for American Legion Boys State 2026! 👏
Cotulla High School is proud to have nominated CHS Junior Estevan Moreno who will attend the prestigious American Legion Boys State, taking place June 7–12, 2026 at The University of Texas at Austin.
Boys State is a highly respected leadership and civic engagement program sponsored by the Cotulla American Legion Rueben Willson Post #409, where outstanding high school students from across Texas come together to learn about government, leadership, and public service. Participants run for office, form a mock state government, and gain hands-on experience in how democracy works—building skills that last a lifetime.
Estevan truly represents the spirit of leadership at CHS. He serves as Drum Major for the Mighty Cowboy Band and is an active member of Jazz Band and Mariachi Cotuleño. He is also involved in the National Honor Society, Student Council, and is currently a dual enrollment student with Southwest Texas College who will graduate in May 2027 with his Associate of Arts Degree.
Looking ahead, Estevan plans to attend The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, Texas in Fall 2027, where he will major in Music Performance.
