Building Awareness and Meeting Graduation Requirements! 🎓
Cotulla High School Juniors and Seniors participated in the Instruction on Proper Interaction with Peace Officers session on Thursday, January 22, 2026 in the CHS cafetorium. It is a graduation requirement in the state of Texas, mandated by the Community Safety Education Act, and is designed to educate students on traffic safety, driver responsibility, and the serious consequences of unsafe driving behaviors. The information video is titled “Flashing Lights”.
The video presentation helps students better understand laws related to traffic stops and interactions with law enforcement, preparing them to be safer, more informed drivers. In addition, law enforcement agents provided important information and shared valuable real-world insight that supports this important requirement and promotes student safety.
Thank you to our law enforcement partners for speaking with our students and helping them meet this important graduation requirement. We appreciate your service and support!
